Full Job Description

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in sawing, shaping, and assembling woodstock to form furniture frames and mock-ups: Reviews production schedules and confers with department head to determine production priorities, availability of equipment and personnel, and processing changes. Examines furniture parts during machining and assembly, and directs workers to change machine setup or work techniques to eliminate defects. Reassigns workers or performs duties of absentee workers. Operates woodworking machines, such as bandsaw, ripsaw, and boring machine to cut woodstock to specifications. Performs other duties as described under SUPERVISOR (any industry) Master Title.
